Autism 101

Autism 101 goes over the basics of what autism is. The traits behind behaviors, not just what autism looks like on the service. It dives into the autism experience and puts things in easy to understand terms. This workshop is recommended as your first step before taking another workshop.

Contents of Autism 101 include Sensory Input, Processing, Communication, Executive Functioning, Motor Control and so much more. This workshop has a visual power point you can look at while lecture is given and handouts to take home that give an overview of the key points talked about.

Presenters are Lillian Carrier and Chloe Estelle who are both autistic themselves and compiled all this information into a digestible workshop given in the span of a few hours.

What I Wish My Parents Did Differently

This workshop is presented by two autistic individuals and their parent who talk about what they wish they could have changed earlier in being raised autistic.

The contents include: stories from our childhood, parenting mistakes and why they happen, capacity and how it changes, why we parent out of fear, how we can do better in the future and so much more. The workshop has a visually power point presentation along with the lecture. Handouts are given out to take home that have an overview of the key points talked about during the lecture.
